The best food brands for anti-inflammatory or paleo diets, including AIP reintro…

Where To Shop For Paleo Foods | Anti-inflammatory Diet Food Brands | How To Find Brands That Are Anti-inflammatory | Paleo Food Brands | AIP Compliant Food Brands

While a year and a half ago I didn’t think I would have as many things on the list, it’s exciting that I do! I feel like almost every other day some new brand comes out at Whole Foods, Costco or Thrive Market that are compliant with any of the above mentioned diets: AIP, paleo, anti-inflammatory, and even keto diets for the most part.

I think the hardest thing about converting your life to a healthier and less inflamed one, is finding how to make your favorite things in ways you can actually enjoy. How to cook for the whole family and not feel left out as all your favorite dishes have a bunch of shit you can no longer partake in, or at least for the next 3-9 months while you’re in a healing phase! It sucks to have to sit out every damn dessert or sweet treat! It feels crappy not to be able to just order off the menu everywhere. May even seem embarrassing to have to bring your own dressings and sauces and side dishes. But is it worth it? HELL YES IT IS! Feeling and looking better are priceless. Healing your body from diseases or chronic issues/illnesses that impact you to the negative, or shave years off of your life, is truly fucking priceless!

So on that note, I’ve put together a list of some of my favorite brands. Whole Foods/Amazon is a great place to find these brands. Some you can even order direct straight from the companies. Thrive Market is another option (click here to join and save $25) where the goods come straight to your house. I feel like they’re on of the best at adding in and finding new genius ideas in the healthier space!

Costco has of course stepped up their game, and I think Sam’s Club has too, although I don’t shop there at the moment! Trader Joe’s is always fun for some compliant items, yet we all know they carry their own off brands, so you won’t find many of these there. Publix and Kroger brands have also done well, so have the one off natural grocery stores in your local town! By the way, most locally owned co-ops or natural grocery stores will look into carrying new brands if you recommend them. Sometimes, they’ll even order you a small batch (must purchase in bulk) of something they don’t carry, just to make you happy and healthy. So if you don’t have access to one of the larger stores I’m mentioning, don’t be shy! Go to the customer service counter and ask them to look into some of these brands, or possibly ordering you a case!

For baking: I love my girlfriend’s company EAT GANGSTER and use code “LIAKOS10” for a 10% discount! They make cookie and cake mixes along with icings, all organic and all AIP reintro compliant! I also love Simple Mills for those without nut and egg allergies! In addition to baking mixes (their bread is awesome) they also have already made crackers and snacks, galore! They’re often on sale at Whole Foods and other stores. Thrive Market carries them, too!

For sauces and seasonings: I find Siete Foods to be the best for the Hispanic products. I also love Primal Kitchen and Kevin’s Natural Foods products are pretty simple and ready to go, too! All three of these brands can be found on Thrive Market (find link and $ saving option to join link above). You can even save money by having them be sent to you on rotation.

For protein powders: I vote for Ancient Nutrition for animal based protein powders and products. I primarily use the bone broth protein and collagen from them, yet they have lots of high quality stuff. VEGA offers another great line up with plant based and vegan protein powders. Orgain Organics Simple is a good line, as well. Orgain makes a TON of protein powders and drinks. They have a huge variety of lines, yet the SIMPLE line is the cleanest plant based or vegan protein powder line of theirs.

All of these can be found at Amazon or most big box stores and even your standard grocery stores. They have TONS of options though, so checking their site is the best way to find the one for you. You can order directly from these companies and save on subscription options. I would DEFINITELY recommend that you do your homework and do some price comparison shopping with protein powders. This shit is expensive! So stock up when you see sales, or take the 90 seconds and Google it to see who’s got it the cheapest when in need of a refill.

For chocolate: one of the harder parts for lots of folks on AIP reintro diets (and even lots of paleo and keto diets) is finding a chocolate replacement. Most of these products use cacao, most are paleo and some even have keto chocolate lines! HU Kitchen brand is lovely! EVOLVED is my favorite, though! Both companies make chocolate bars. HU makes “gems” that are good for large chocolate chip swaps. EVOLVED makes cups and now have new chocolate chips, too! You can pretty much find these chocolate treats at any store these days in person and online – nice and easy. You’ll love that they have chocolate goodness yet none of the shitty oils and sugars and extra junk in them!

Okay – I feel like my review of my favorite healthy food brands is complete! Went over a handful of important categories that will help you feel successful as you work to transition your body, kitchen, and life to be healthy-ish. And if you have friends with health issues or allergies, these brands will be perfect for them too!

PS: I will FOREVER be about saving money on all things organic and high quality. Whether you have a ton of money or not, the good and clean shit is not cheap! So I LOVE to subscribe and save and buy multiples of things when I find them on sale places.
